The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) in the person of executive director Mohammad S. Yacob attended the recent seminar entitled “Addressing situations of fragility, conflict and violence in middle income countries: What to do and How to do it” conducted on March 28, 2017 at Manila, Philippines.
According to Yacob, the seminar was a venue for the different stakeholders/donors from the different countries to share experiences in dealing with the conflicts and violence.”
“Everybody shared how to address those conflicts and violence happening”, Yacob told.
“We have learned different experiences from these donors dealing with the conflicts around the world and we were able to share that BDA was created for programs and projects for the conflict affected areas”, Yacob said.
The seminar included interactive sessions, multi-media presentations and roundtable discussions.
The said activity was jointly hosted by the World Bank Group and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The participants were from the World Bank Group and ADB representing different countries, global and regional government officials and among others.
“In Mindanao, only BDA and the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) were in attendance”, Yacob ended.
